Fall Camp Shirts
Overview
It’s that time of the year again, where fall camp is in full swing and spooky season is just getting started. Gather round friends while I elucidate, about the things that go on when it gets late—tales of ghosts with butts, and slimy stumps, the anonymoose, and haunted huts. Enjoy this collection of t-shirt graphics and characters for Twitch streamer PoopWitchX and her annual Coven Camp.
Illustrations
Glow in the dark? Yes, please! This actually never took off simply because none of the usual t-shirt makers offer glow-in-the-dark ink; it would need to be a specialty order from a custom screen printing shop.
Swag
No project is complete without a bit of swag. This is primarily a shirt project modeled after vintage camper shirts—ringer style FTW—but there are plenty of additional pieces to be had including stickers, embroidered items, and fanny packs.
Process
Wanted to share a quick look at my process and how a few sketches can help compose several designs quickly. Everything starts as rough and (usually) sloppy pencil sketches of the desired characters and setting. I then grab snapshots of those with my phone, bring the pics into Photoshop for some quick cleanup, save each element as an individual png, and finally arrange them into various Illustrator compositions. Because the doodles are usually pretty rough, everything will need to be cleanly vectored by hand in Illustrator.
Thanks for reading! See you at next year’s Coven Camp 🧙
